War of 1812 Commemoration
Saturday, June 2
Beginning at 10 a.m., at the Hudson Library & Historical Society along with the Hudson Genealogical Study Group will host Eric Johnson, War of 1812 historian and officer in the Society of the War of 1812 in Ohio at the library.
Johnson will present a program on “Ohio in the War of 1812.” Following this presentation at 11 a.m. there will be a grave marking ceremony at Markillie Cemetery, 410 North Main Street. Each Hudson solider who served in this War will be recognized and honored for their service. This will be followed by a presentation to descendants of those soldiers. Adjournment will take place and lunch will be served at the Hudson Country Club. Lunch cost is $20 and must be pre-paid.
