Losses to the property owner were high in the aftermath of a fire that destroyed a barn and all of its contents this week. Fire crews from several area departments were called to the scene in Trumbull County’s Vienna Township, arriving in the 700 block of Niles Vienna Road SE around 8:30AM to find a fully-involved structure fire. The roof collapsed into the building as the flames went out of control and crews were forced to put water on other nearby structures to keep the blaze from spreading. Officials reported there was a large amount of expensive equipment inside including tractors and snowmobiles – and all of it was lost in the blaze. Crews remained on the scene for some four hours before they got everything put down. Investigators noted the damage was so extensive, they may not be able to determine the actual cause. No one was hurt.
