Week one of the high school football season is upon us and already there is a cancellation. Norton City Schools announced that it’s game Friday against Northwest, was canceled because of illness affecting student-athletes. The school release states, the decision was made in consultation with the district’s nursing staff prioritizing the health and safety of the students.
