The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that 23 people were killed over the Labor Day holiday weekend. the deaths occurred in 20 crashes from Friday August 29th to midnight on Monday September 1st. At least 4 of the crashes were OVI-related. The highway patrol responded to 490 crashes over the holiday weekend. Troopers made 398 arrests for impaired driving and 67 arrests for drug-related charges. They also issued 1,872 seat belt citations.
