Starting Monday September 15th, the ramp from Glenwood Avenue to State Route 8 south will be closed through late November as part of the bridge replacement project in Akron. The detour will be Glenwood Avenue to north Howard Street to Tallmadge Avenue. Route 8 northbound and southbound between Glenwood Avenue and Perkins Street will continue to have occasional lane restrictions and ongoing ramp restrictions. The bridge project is estimated to be complete in Summer of 2028.
