More than 30 charged in Akron firearms crackdown

Local and Federal law enforcement officials say a new intelligence center is to thank for getting dozens of criminals and guns off the streets.  The Akron Gun Intelligence Center led them to making 35 arrests as part of what they’re calling “Operation Double Eagle.”  Among those arrests are well-known gang members and drug dealers.  55 guns were also seized.  The law enforcement initiative was conducted over a 60 day period and focused on Akron’s most violent areas,
