An evacuation in Portage County has been lifted following a gas leak last night. Suffield Township residents in the area of Palm Road, between Saxe and Randolph Roads were told to evacuate after a driver crashed into a gas line. The accident happened shortly before 9pm. The department described the leak as a “major leak”. Early this morning, residents were told it was safe to return home and that the leak had been isolated.
