Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is moving forward with a ban on carbonated, sugary drinks from food assistance programs. According to officials, about 1.5 million Ohioans use food stamps, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), to help buy groceries. Democrats thought it could impact juices or drinks like Gatorade, but these would be carved out under the proposed policy.
