A former Kent police officer, 25-year-old Max Arnett, was killed in combat while fighting to defend  Ukraine. Kent police say Arnett was deeply moved by the war and left in March to help Ukrainian soldiers. He was remembered by colleagues as dedicated, hardworking, and selfless. Community leaders praised his courage, calling him “an extraordinary young man” who gave his life for what he believed was right.
