Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an innocent bystander that occurred in the Highland Square area earlier this month. One of those men has already served time in the 2022 death of 17 year old Ethan Liming outside of the I-PROMISE School in Akron. According to Akron Police, 24 year old Deshawn Stafford and 23 year old Emani Thomas began shooting at each other on West Market Street. Timothy Hutchinson, of Wooster got caught in the middle and was shot and killed. Stafford previously served 18 months in prison for assault in connection to the death of Liming right outside the Akron I-PROMISE school. Stafford faces numerous charges, including murder. Thomas is charged with having weapons under disability.
