Former Summit County prosecutor, judge resigns law license

By John Maczko Oct 30, 2025 | 6:46 AM

Former Summit County prosecutor and judge Michael Callahan surrendered his law license after a state disciplinary probe into accusations he forced a client to have sex with him and perform a sex act on him in exchange for representing the woman during an eviction case.  The Ohio Supreme Court accepted the resignation of his law license and barred him from working as an attorney or representing clients.  For years, Callahan served as the county prosecutor, judge, county councilman, and Akron Municipal judge.  Callahan has denied all wrongdoings.
