General Motors says it plans to layoff 1200 workers at its all-electric factory near Detroit. And also about 550 jobs will be cut at its battery cell facility in Warren, Ohio. GM will also temporarily lay off 850 employees there, and another 700 in Tennessee. Officials say the layoffs are due to the slowing demand for e-v vehicles.
