Woman hit, killed by van in Dover

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a woman is dead after being struck and killed by a cargo van early Monday evening in Dover.  Authorities say the victim, identified as 69 year old Dover resident Kathy Fruchey, was in the right lane of North Wooster Avenue when she was hit by a van driven by an 80 year old man from Dover.  The collision occurred around 6pm near the intersection with Karle Alley, with the van headed north.  Fruchey was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.
