Community support continues this morning for residents who were displaced following an explosion at a senior facility in Austintown Township, near Youngstown. The blast happened over the weekend at the Phoenix House apartment complex. More than 100 residents were forced to evacuate. A dozen people were injured. All residents affected were set up at various nursing homes or hotels. On Sunday, donations of hygiene products, food, water, clothes were pouring into the Austintown Senior center. Donations can be dropped off at the center, 112 Westchester Drive, between 8am and 2pm this week. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
