The Ohio Department of Transportation is renewing its call for drivers to give snow plows plenty of room to do their work in clearing roads after 8 ODOT snow plows have already been hit this winter season. Last year, 54 trucks were struck by vehicles statewide, more than double the previous record. Most of the crashes are rear-end collisions, often caused by drivers following too closely. ODOT is asking motorists to leave 200 to 300 feet of space when driving behind a plow.
