One person was killed in a fire overnight in Barberton. Fire crews were called to the 100 block of 16th Street NW just before midnight and found smoke and flames coming from the second story of the structure with possible victims trapped inside. On scene, firefighters found one victim outside and transported them to Barberton Hospital. Another victim was found deceased inside the building.
