Ohio State disappointment

By John Maczko Jan 5, 2026 | 8:07 AM

The chance for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team to defend their National Championship did not last long at all.  Actually the last 2 games for the Buckeyes were a disaster.  How can you be a team with so many talented athletes and score 10 points in the Big Ten Championship game and 14 in the playoff game?  That should be almost impossible.  Now in the Big Ten Championship against Indiana, you were playing against arguably the best team in the country.  But to let Miami hold you to 14 in the playoff is unacceptable.  Head coach Ryan Day got a hold of the play calling again and once again his play calling was horrendous.  Get someone in there to be Offensive Coordinator and get the call playing away from Day.  As impressive as the teams run to the title last year was, this season was the total opposite.  You beat Michigan and then shot yourself in the foot over and over again the next 2 games.  Figure it out, get it fixed and get back to the Championship game where you belong.
