Flu cases in Ohio are surging, with hospitalizations nearly doubling week over week. The Ohio Department of Health recognizes flu season as a period of time that can begin as early October and run as late as March, so it’s far from over. Health experts say it’s not too late to get the flu vaccine. It takes about 2 weeks to develop immunity from the vaccine, and it does cover 3 different versions of the flu, so just because you’ve even had the flu doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t benefit from having the flu shot.
