A Summit Country grand jury has indicted 9 people following a multi-year investigation into a criminal gang operating in Akron between 2019 and 2024. The investigation, led by Akron police, focused on alleged members of the Down the Way (DTW) gang, whom authorities say were involved in an ongoing pattern of criminal activity. All 9 individuals were charged with participating in a criminal gang and conspiracy to participate in a criminal gang.
