Rates rise at University of Akron

The University of Akron’s Board of Trustees this week approved increasing the rates of tuition, room and board, and parking rates for all drivers this fall.  Beware— those who park on campus without a valid parking permit will see the fine increase from the current $37 to $100.  the cost of the parking permits will increase from $248 to $260.  Also, University of Akron tuition rates will increase by 3% and housing rates are expected to increase by an average of 7.5%.
