A North Canton man has been sentenced to more than 5 years in prison for making and selling “ghost” AR-15’s to strangers and people he knew. Such weapons have no serial numbers, which prevents tracing their owners. U.S. district Judge David Ruiz in Cleveland sentenced Christopher Machamer on 5 charges, including making of firearms in violation of the National Firearms Act, unlawful transfer of unregistered firearms.
