A former Archbishop Hoban High School teacher indicted on 10 counts of sexual battery, had a plea hearing in Summit County court yesterday, according to a release from Summit County Prosecutor Elliott Kolkovich. 37 year old Chad Kendall was arrested by Akron Police in August of 2025. He pleaded guilty to charges stemming from abusing 2 female students between the ages of 16 and 17 for multiple years during his time as a teacher. He pleaded guilty to 6 counts of sexual battery. As previously reported, Kendall turned himself in to Akron Police after a warrant was issued for his arrest last summer. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 19th. Kendall could face up to 8 years behind bars.
