If you drive on 91 through Munroe Falls, you have about a month to find an alternative route. The bridge near Brust Park will be closed for an estimated 120 days starting June 17 according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The $1.8 million project includes replacing the bridge, which is expected to reopen Oct. 15. Closure of Route 91 will be needed between North River Road and Munroe Falls Avenue. The detour route will use state Route 59 and state Route 261, while local traffic can use various local roads. The proposed project will include replacement of the existing concrete driving surface, structural repairs and minor approach work, including new guardrails on both sides of the road.
