A Twinsburg man was arrested after a hit-and-run crash left a 50-year-old man dead in Conneaut on Sunday morning. According to a Conneaut Police release, at around 10:30 a.m., officers and firefighters responded to the 400 block of West Main Road for a pedestrian hit by a car. When first responders arrived, they found bystanders rendering aid to a 50-year-old Conneaut resident. EMS took him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said that the driver, a 42-year-old Twinsburg man, fled from the scene, but was later found by Ashtabula County Sheriff’s deputies. He was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle while under the influence of a drug of abuse and fleeing the scene of an accident.
