Medical examiner identifies 2 killed in plane crash

The Summit County Medical Examiner has now identified the 2 men who were killed in a plane crash earlier this month.  The office identified the flight instructor of the plane as 39 year old Colin Albee from Allen, Texas and the pilot, who owned the plane, as 38 year old David Garcia of Hammond Indiana.  The plane, a 1963 Piper Cherokee, had taken off around 2pm from Akron Fulton Airport on May 14th when it crashed around 3:45 pm into a home in the 2200 block of Canterbury Circle.  The two on the plane were pronounced dead at the scene.  The family, who had been in the home at the time of the crash, were able to escape.
