A 53 year old Canton man, identified as Jeffrey Knerr, has died following a 2 vehicle crash involving a semi. The New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol say it was around 11:45pm Tuesday when Knerr was driving a vehicle southbound on State Route 93 in Tuscarawas County. A semi, pulling a tanker trailer, was traveling northwest on US 250 when authorities say the Nissan Knerr was driving failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by the commercial trailer. Knerr was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt. The incident remains under investigation.
