For the first time in a long time, there will be no pro golf tournament out at the Firestone Country Club after this year. The Beacon reports, that this year’s Kaulig Senior Championship will end a run of a professional golf event at Firestone Country Club. This comes as talks continue about the golf course and other golf properties being sold as part of a $3 billion deal. Beginning next year, the PGA Tour will host the annual Senior Championship at Newport beach Country Club in Newport Beach, California. Firestone Country Club has hosted a PGA golf event ever year since 1954, when it was the Rubber City Open.
