Stark County deputies say a 5 year old girl has died after suffering injuries in the backyard of her family’s home. This happened Sunday at a home in the 2400 block of Burr Oak Street NE in Plain Township. Investigators say her father was in the backyard backing up a compact earth-mover machine when he found his daughter on the ground with severe injuries. He rushed her to the hospital where she did not make it. The father was injured jumping from the machine and was treated at the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
