A 19 year old man died after being shot in Akron Tuesday evening, and police say a 27 year old man is in custody. Police responded to the crime scene just before 10pm in the 600 block of Callis Oval, and found the victim, who has been identified as 19 year old Adonis McCloud of Akron, shot multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said that the shooting was the result of an altercation. According to a news release from Akron police, 27 year old Dmiere Simmons has been arrested in connection with the shooting. A firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was also recovered. Simmons, currently in the Summit County Jail, has been charged with murder and felonious assault.
