Akron Zoo back open after bomb threat

The Akron Zoo reopened on Sunday a day after a bomb threat closed the Zoo on Saturday.  In a press release, the zoo said a threat consistent with other zoos receiving similar threats in past months came in just after3pm.  The zoo was evacuated as part of its emergency management procedures, and officials said police officers and firefighters were on the scene assessing the situation.  around 6pm Saturday, the zoo said police determined the area was safe.  The Zoo reopened on Sunday.
