The college football season is looming and the coaches poll came out a month, before the season starts. Ohio State is ranked #1 followed by Oregon, Georgia, Texas, and Notre Dame. The defending National Champion Indiana Hoosiers are ranked 6th. The AP Poll will be coming out soon. I’m not a fan of these polls before the season starts. Last year 3 of the teams in the Top 10 preseason poll didn’t even finish in the Top 25. How about we play a couple of weeks of the season and then we start ranking the teams? That would be a much better idea. Of course they will never do it though and we will deal with this same nonsense every year, where we are going to guess who is good before anyone hits the actual field. I love college football, but this drives me crazy. I’ll just have to deal with it though, like others who agree with me, because they have all their time wrapped up in trying to expand the college football playoff again already. I’m sure I will be writing a post similar to this next season too. I guess it is what it is.
