A suspect has been captured after he was on the run for 3 weeks. On July 20, Bath Township Police and Fairlawn Police responded to a theft that occurred at Macy’s at Summit mall. A short vehicle pursuit ensued. the suspect fled on foot following that vehicle traffic stop. the driver was arrested. Police officers from Bath, Copley, Fairlawn, Richfield, Medina County Sheriff’s Department all conducted an extensive search of the area utilizing drone technology, police canine team, and additional personnel. Despite the efforts, the suspect could not be found. Yesterday, around 1:30pm, they located the suspect.
