Akron Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Sunday that resulted in the death of a man at a South Arlington street gas station. Police responded to a call about a shooting at the Circle K at 940 south Arlington Street, where witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. Responding officers found the man, who had been shot in the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 63 year old Rickie Essick.
