A Canton man is facing charges after a 21 year old woman was shot in the head and killed Tuesday afternoon. According to a release from Canton Police, t around 2:35pm, a 911 call reported a shooting in the 600 block of 11th Street NE. When officers arrived they found a 21 year old woman with a gunshot wound to her head. Canton Fire Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, however she was pronounced dead at the scene. The department identified her as Dalaysia Brewton. According to the release, officers found the suspect, 18 year old Javon Ogden, nearby and took him into custody. he was charged with reckless homicide and tampering with evidence. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
