Teen dies in traffic crash

A 17 year old boy is dead after his car drove over a grassy median before striking a Mack truck Thursday afternoon in Stark County, that afternoon in Stark County, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.  Officials say grant Hale, of Minerva, was traveling eastbound in his vehicle on U.S. Route 30 in perry Township when he went off the side of the highway and over the grass and into the westbound lanes and collided with a Mack truck, driven by a 75 year old Canton man, near mile post 11.  It happened around 12:20pm.  Both vehicles careened off the road and into the woods.  Hale was pronounced dead at the scene, and the truck driver was taken to Aultman Hospital with minor injuries.  the crash remains under investigation.
