There are a number of school levies and bond issues on the ballot in Summit, Portage, Medina and Stark Counties.
In Summit County- Barberton City Schools are asking voters to approve a 1 percent earned income tax levy for 5 years. The district says the levy would apply to active wages, salaries and self-employment earnings of Barberton residents.
In Cuyahoga Falls, Voters will be asked to approve Issue 6, a 5.5 mill operating levy that would run for 5 years. The estimated cost is $193 per $100,000 property valuation.
In Norton, voters are asked to approve a .75% income tax levy to allow district operating and education programming costs.
In Tallmadge, voters are asked to approve a 1 percent earned income tax for the district. Without approval, more cuts will be made to staff, sports and other activities.
