The Akron Police Department has found a vehicle authorities believe fatally struck 38 year old Jesse McCool last month.
Last month, McCool was crossing South Main Street at Miller avenue when he was fatally struck. The vehicle identified by Flock cameras is a Cadillac SRX.
Speed is expected to be a factor. Lt. Michael Murphy reports that police have identified who they believe was driving and are working with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office to determine possible charges.
McCool’s family is planning a balloon release in his honor at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 17 at Summit Lake Park in Akron.
