City Series football games moved to 10am

The Akron Public Schools decided to move all of the remaining City Series High School football games to 10am on Saturday for the final 3 weeks of the season.  This after there was an incident at a game played on a Friday night between Buchtel and Firestone that turned into chaos when they played recently at Ellet High School.  There were fights between spectators inside and outside the stadium.  The videos of the incident make it look even worse with the Akron Police being far outnumbered.  I think the schools made the right call to put the games on a Saturday mornings and also place rules on who is allowed to attend the games.  We live in a world now where sadly a few bad apples, have to ruin it for everyone else.  Going to a Friday night High School football game was one of the best experiences when going to school.  That has been taken away from the kids and players now.  Saturday morning just don’t have the same feel.  Maybe the will try Friday night games again next season.  Maybe people will learn how to act and behave themselves and not cause problems.  I’m not holding my breath on that though sadly.
