A former soccer coach for the Northwestern Local School District and a club team was sentenced to prison on Friday for sexual battery involving a minor.
51 year old Timothy Boggs, was found guilty on all counts of sexual battery and attempted sexual battery.
According to the court records, counts of sexual battery are to be served concurrently for 36 months. He is serving another 6 months for attempted sexual battery, with the full sentence being 42 months. After serving the prison sentence, Boggs will be under supervision for five years.
Wooster police said their investigation began on March 2 after receiving a complaint from the juvenile victim regarding her club soccer coach at Ohio Strikers United Soccer Academy.
Police said the alleged sexual assaults started when the victim was 16 and happened approximately nine times between October 2024 and April 2025.
