The Akron-Canton Airport is celebrating a milestone tomorrow. The Summit County Aiport will be 80 years old.
Originally opening in Green in 1946 it serviced flights from American, Capital, Eastern and United Airlines, serving over 43,000 passengers its first year.
Last year, one million passengers flew in and out of Akron-Canton.
The airport now has over 60 employees and more than 20 commercial flights daily.
