A Beachwood man, Kevin Hawk is facing several felony charges after employees at a local McDonald’s said he threatened to shoot them and then lunged at a drive thru window while holding a fire extinguisher.
Warren police were called around 1:18 am on Thursday to a McDonald’s on Parkman road. An employee said Hawk asked for $40 or he was going to “blow up the store” while he appeared to be holding something under his sweatshirt. Hawk was asked to leave, but instead lunged at the drive thru window with a fire extinguisher.
Employees pushed Hawk through the locked window and police found him in the parking lot.
Police said at the same time officers took a report from someone at a near by Aldi who said someone broke into his vehicle. A shattered window, bricks and blood were all found at the scene. As was a wallet that was later found in Hawk’s possession.
Firefighters on Parkman Road reported that Hawk took the fire extinguisher from outside the Warren Fire Station and shattered a glass door with it. Police also had a warrant for Hawk’s arrest through the Adult Parole Authority.
