Bad news for Nestle employees at the Solon factory. The factory will close by the end the year 2027. Employees were informed earlier today (Monday). The Solon location is one of 7 facilities in Ohio. This closing will impact hundreds of positions, however, Nestle has not confirmed the exact number of employees that will be cut.
The production of the Nestle Professional Solution pouches will gradually be moved to the Gaffney, South Carolina location over the coming months.
The closure only effects the Solon factory. The broader Solon campus will remain open. The company’s Streetsboro distribution center and the West 25th factor in Cleveland will not be affected by the transition.
