Gas prices soared over the past week, bringing the average about $4 a gallon in both Akron and Cleveland. Drivers in Akron are now paying an average of $4.08 per gallon after prices surged nearly 30 cents a gallon since last Monday. Cleveland’s average is now listed at 44.09 a gallon after prices jumped about 20 cents in the last week.
