A woman living in a Ravenna Twp mobile home park is charged with felonies after she allegedly abandoned dogs, cats and lizards to take a job in Florida.
32 year old Ashley Bly was arraigned Monday in Portage County Common Pleas Court on 10 counts of fifth degree felony prohibitions concerning companion animals according to court records.
Sheriff’s deputy responded to the park on the evening of September 23, forced their way into Bly’s trailer and found 3 dogs and 5 cats dead. Two lizards were alive but very cold and not moving.
Bly is free on bond, but as a condition of the bond, she is to have no animals in her possession.
A November 10 discovery hearing is scheduled along with a December 2 pre-trial.
