Akron is hosting the 42nd National Night Out on August 5th with events across the city. National night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community relations and neighborhood unity. The goal of the National Night Out is to strengthen participation in local programs that prevent and deter crime to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
