Bath Police are investigating a shooting that left 9 people injured early Sunday morning at an Airbnb rental home in Bath Township. Bath Township Police Chief Vito Sinopoli said officers were dispatched just after midnight to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 900 block of Top of the Hill Drive. The home had been rented as a short-term Airbnb property and was hosting a large birthday party that had been advertised on social media platforms. Police confirmed the 9 individuals, a mix of juveniles and adults, were injured in the shooting. Emergency crews from more than a dozen agencies, including police and fire departments from Akron, Copley, Fairlawn, and Richfield, responded to the scene. Home rentals are not a crime, only a zoning violation.
