Heart check for student athletes

Ohio lawmakers are considering a bill that would require cardiac screenings for student athletes. According to Cleveland.com, House Bill 437 would require students to complete a check list at their physical that would identify symptoms of serious heart conditions.  Students who meet certain criteria from the questionnaire would undergo additional screenings.  The bill would need to go through additional hearings before it can move to a full House vote.
