Guardians quiet???

By John Maczko Nov 21, 2025 | 8:02 AM

Another baseball offseason is upon us and even though it is early in the process it has the same feel for the Cleveland Guardians that it seems to have every offseason.  They have made a couple of moves involving minor players, but their silence is deafening.  The Major League Baseball rumors are flying around and you hardly hear the Guardians mentioned.  The one thing you have heard is the possibility of the team trading centerfielder Steven Kwan for some prospects.  Trading your second best player for a bunch of young unproven players, is never a way to get the fans excited.  But the ownership probably won’t pay Kwan to stay, they rarely pay anyone to stay.  So I guess in the end they figure they should get something for him.  But if they trade Kwan and do nothing else to this batting order which is already bad offensively, the fans aren’t going to be happy and it’s going to be a long season.  No miracle runs like last season, if they subtract Kwan and sit on their hands.  They need 2 or 3 bats, even if they keep Kwan.  But I don’t think any baseball expert or baseball fan believes they are going to get one bat for the lineup, let alone 3 or more.  Another fun Guardians offseason incoming.
