Akron police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with the shooting of a 17 year old last Friday. Police say the shooting occurred at the intersection of Yeager Way and Russell Avenue around 11:40am. During the investigation, detectives learned that the victim and a 15 year old friend were walking on Yeager Way when they were approached by an unknown suspect wearing a black, puffy coat and ski mask. The suspect fired several shots, striking the 17 year old two times. Both teens ran to a corner store to seek help. At this time, no arrests have been made.
