Car fees increase

By John Maczko Dec 9, 2025 | 7:41 AM

Beginning January 1st, Ohio residents will have to pay more to get around.  It will cost 5 dollars more to register a car.  That means that you will have to pay 35 dollars a year for a commercial vehicle and 16 per year for a regular car.  Title fees will increase from 15 to 18 dollars a title and deputy registrar fees will increase from 5 to 8 dollars.  This is due to the state budget that has Ohio lawmakers invoke an increase in several fees in the 2 year budget.
